Another romantic sunrise session for y’all! Nestled into the hustle and bustle that is Northern Virginia, there is this sweet little town. It’s right on the river and kind of feels like a fairy tale. There are tons of mom and pop shops and restaurants that have been here forever, and at sunrise, it’s basically empty. Brendan and Mackenzie are generally new to the area, so they asked if I had any suggestions for where to shoot. I suggested Occoquan, and crossed my fingers! These two are so sweet and were 100% into this session. They were so easy to photograph because they seemed so relaxed and up for anything.

First friends and after 4 years of dating, they got engaged at another of my favorite places, Pippin Hill. It is one of the most romantic venues in Virginia, and Brendan planned the entire thing – called ahead and made sure it was perfect for Mackenzie. He asked a waitress to take a photo of them, and he got down on one knee! I love this couple, and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding later this year!
