Kate and Evan got married at Riverside on the Potomac in Leesburg, Virginia last weekend. And while some might say it was the crescendo in their relationship, everyone at the wedding agreed: it was the most natural progression for them to get married, and it only made sense that we were all there celebrating their wedding. Kate and Evan have been together for about 10 years – since Evan asked her to prom [she kept the sign, as you’ll see in the post]. When Evan proposed to Kate the same day he became an official pilot for the US Navy, she knew what she was saying yes to – a life of adventure! I was so pleased to be there to photograph these two. One of my favorite things about the day was when Kate said she was more comfortable in bare feet than in heels, but then walked ALL OVER the farm in her Calvin Klein heels. My kind of girl.
