Oh gosh, y’all.
I’m so so afraid. Like, butterflies and random adrenaline shots to my fingertips.
Back at the end of April, my mom and I committed to start the Whole30 together before we go to the beach this coming July. We’ve been reading It Starts With Food and are getting as ready as we can be before starting this Monday. It’s a pretty popular, trendy diet, and I hate those. The idea of starting “the new fad” that people are doing makes me roll my eyes. I typically disagree with anything that doesn’t allow you to eat EVERYTHING in moderation. But upon some research, I realized there IS one thing I NEVER eat in moderation. Sugar. In it’s simplest form and most complex, I have to have it – I don’t feel satisfied until I do! We both have our own reasons for committing to this 30 day adventure. Here are some of my goals:
When I think about that, I’m pretty stoked! I know this is supposed to be a 30 day thing so I see light at the end, and it’s encouraging. So there it is. I’m scared. I’m excited. And I’d love to hear your experience with the Whole30! Have you done it? Did you make it all 30 days? What were your results?

Oh my gosh YAAAY!! I loved the Whole 30 and it totally changed my life! I lost 13 pounds in 30 days eating bacon and avocado and cashews- crazy! I’ve been Paleo for a year now (with a few cheats obviously) and I’ve slept better, run further, and had less migraines than ever before in my life. It’s a GAME CHANGER- I’m so excited for you!
