Sometimes I wish I could think blog posts into existence. I’m realizing how much I am away from my computer as of recent, and I need to figure out a better blogging system! So again, sorry for my absence!

But I have some exciting things to show you! I just love it when you walk in to a store and you feel something because of the way it looks, or because of the cohesiveness of their products.  Two examples: Crate & Barrel and Aerie. From their boxes to their store front, C&B keeps things so simple. It’s hard to miss their design, or confuse it with another. It’s clean, contemporary, and light-filled–they clearly have worked hard to achieve that look! Aerie is a company whose branding I’ve really started to admire. When you walk into their store, you feel like you’ve walked into a huge shabby-chic intimates cottage. Its a flirty, eco-friendly brand that makes me want to hang out and listen to Jack Johnson.

A few months ago, I challenged myself to come up with three words I wanted my business to convey. This was an exercise that someone prompted me to do in school, but I think it takes some time to figure out what makes you different.  I want to continue to develop the Alisandra Photography brand to hold to my three word motto:

Ashlee Proffitt Design has done a fabulous job of helping me get here. Beginning with the logo design, and moving to packaging and stationary, she has been pivotal in allowing me to flesh out ideas.  She not only works on custom design, but she also has invitation lines [for all you brides].  Do yourself a favor and browse through her website [and over on the Vendor Love section of my blog!]. I have serious love for this color, icon, font, and the overall feel of what Alisandra Photography is growing in to.
