I met Melinda and David for the first time at a coffee shop in Charlottesville. I loved hearing how they were planning to move forward with their wedding no matter which Phase the Governor declared. They would adjust accordingly, but they were going to get married. I love seeing couples so excited to get married.
It’s so easy to see why this wedding was a breath of fresh air after a season of being home for months. The Seclusion, a new venue in Lexington Virginia with the most beautiful mountain view, was the perfect spot for their ceremony and celebration. Her colors were whites and greens and her bridesmaids wore a very muted teal. Although it was hot, there was a soft breeze and partial cloud coverage all day that made it completely bearable.
My favorite part of the day was the first look. Melinda tapped his shoulder, and David turned and immediately buried his head in her shoulder. That moment was so genuine and perfect. David later said to his mom, “Mom, I cried like a baby.” My other favorite part of the day was the ceremony. Their officiant gave such a clear and beautiful presentation of the Gospel. Anyway, enough from me. Here are some of my favorite moments from the day.
