Virginia Beach portrait and lifestyle photographer specializing in comfortable portraits and candids
Sometimes you meet a couple and you have so much in common, it makes you question… is there such thing as fate? At our first meeting, we connected over our love for the Virgin Islands and live music, and since then, I’ve been looking forward to this day. In fact, I’m actually sad that their wedding day is over. It just means we have to be real life friends…
Jill and John have so much in common. They come from amazing families who appreciate life’s great simplicities. The outdoors, hiking, spending time with family and friends [they are two of the most hospitable people I’ve ever met], the mountains AND the beach… and, perhaps the most important, Kenny Chesney. When John proposed on a trip to the USVI, they began planning a wedding at the beautiful Irvine Estate in Lexington, VA. They’re theme was woodsy and cozy… flannels, table names of trails around the area, wood flower bouquets just to name a few of those details. It also had a few tailgate touches… buffalo chicken fondu station, koozies, and since they are a house divided [UVA/VT], the color choices were obvious and complimented the season as well as giving a nod to their alma maters. Enjoy the scroll, friends!
