More than anything, my desire is for couples to FEEL relaxed, romantic, and like they’re having real moments during their engagement shoot. Romance is hard to CREATE, but helping them to relax is so important. And Real moments CAN be created with posing and actions. For example, “laugh at each other!” They fake laugh for a few seconds then they laugh for REAL at the fact that they’re fake laughing. BOOM. A real moment. Anyway, I didn’t know Owen and Sara very well so I had no idea how they’d be in front of the camera. When they arrived, they explained how they’d just come from a pre-marrital counceling class and Sara made the point that it might be easier to be cozy in front of the camera because of that. Brilliant! I had never thought about that, but it makes sense! Even though it basically sprinkled the entire time we were shooting, these two surprised me with how comfortable they were with each other. We captured so many real, relaxed, and romantic moments  – I love how they’re images turned out and am REALLY excited to share them!
