I recently won a chat with a nutritionist. It was 60 minutes to talk about whatever I wanted. We went over my health review and two things were clear – I needed to drink more water and I needed to eat more lean protein. Well, at least less pork and red meat. So, I needed a few ways to incorporate protien into my breakfast and snack diet. I asked a few days ago on my Facebook page if anyone had any recipes for Protein Bites. Well, I did some googling myself and found this yummy option! Also, just to mention, this is a great “take along” options for us wedding photographers. Energy in a quick, yummy bite!
RECIPE
2 cups old fashioned oats
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/3 cup honey
1/2 cup flaxseed meal
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
cinnamon to taste [and I love cinnamon]
mix it all together and roll into “bites”
