Cherry Blossoms Engagement Session in Richmond Virginia. In my 10+ years of being a wedding photographer, I’ve learned that cherry blossom photos can be the most sought after of all “types” of pictures. It is a lofty goal to set months out to try and aim for the perfect date. But I love setting lofty goals with my clients. In fact, I had one couple want a snowy engagement session which is arguably harder to predict than cherry blossoms [but we did it!]. Anyway, with only a few days of “peak bloom,” it’s a bit of a guessing game to time it perfectly! Katherine and Nick and I planned it PERFECTLY!

These two are so fun and I’ve loved getting to work with them as they plan their fall wedding. Kind and up for anything, they came in to their engagement shoot excited to make beautiful photos! Natalie at Avenue 42 provided beautiful hair and makeup that let Katherine’s amazing blue eyes take center stage. We photographed at the best place in Richmond for blooms, and the went to the Italian Gardens for sunset at Maymont for more spring time gorgeousness. I have too many favorites to count!
