American Rover Waterside Wedding in Norfolk Virginia. Deenie and Gary are a breath of fresh air! From the moment we connected on the phone, I knew that we would work so well together! It would be a shorter work day for me, but no matter how long I’m present on a wedding day, I aim to tell the story of my couple’s love and personality. Both of them are laid back, casual, fun loving, and care about what matters most. We started with their first look and portraits at The Pagoda in Norfolk, Virginia. Deenie got ready in the Tea Room in the park with Beauty Box Studios behind hair and makeup, and we found the prettiest spots in the park for their portraits that literally made her glow!

We made our way to Waterside for their dockside ceremony on The American Rover. Even in the midst of Covid, they were able to have a small wedding outside on the beautiful sail boat. Deenie and friends decorated the boat with wildflowers from Norfolk Wholesale [designed by the bride herself!], and the sounds of a steel drum band welcomed guests upon their arrival. After a short ceremony, the couple took a few photos and sailed off into the sunset to cerebrate with a small group of family and friends! It was a wonderful afternoon and I’m so thankful to have been a part!
