Intimate Wedding In Lexington Virginia. I am always, 100%, FOR my couples. Whatever they want, I want that for them and will do what it takes to make it happen! This wedding, another impacted by the effects of COVID, started as an idea to quickly get married somewhere in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Something quick. But soon after, I received an email from Shelby sharing their plans to do an intimate wedding in Lexington Virginia. And I was all FOR this! These intimate weddings during the pandemic – although not always the perfect Plan A couples had originally intended, have been my favorites. Shelby and Brian’s no different!

This beautiful rainy day wedding in Lexington, Virginia took place at Church Hill, a historic property on Airbnb. The property boasts a 5 bedroom house, a small orchard, rolling landscapes, and old barns. Nothing short of a photographer’s dream! I brought a slew of clear umbrellas [they allow the maximum amount of light on your face], a raincoat, and some rain boots, and I was good to go! Shelby and Brian said their vows on the front porch surrounded by a small group of family and friends. She carried a gorgeous, giant bouquet from The Jefferson Florist with beautiful pink and peach blooms. After, we wandered the property and created the most beautiful, romantic portraits highlighting the property AND Shelby and Brian’s personalities. They are some of my favorites EVER! After portraits, the couple toasted and enjoyed a dinner provided by Chef’s Catering.

It’s so hard for me to pick a favorite moment from their day – the handmade socks worn under the bride and groom’s wedding boots, the portraits on the foggy, rolling hills, or the picture-perfect fall colors on the trees… The whole day was such a gift. I can’t wait for their big celebration this fall at Big Spring Farm!
