There are two things that get us photographers to mobilize: Snow, and Blooms. So when I got a text from Lindsay, my friend and fellow wedding photographer, with a photo of the most beautiful blooms on a tucked away street in Richmond, Virginia, I knew we had to make a family session happen quickly! We picked a date and were able to catch the tail end of those pretty cherry blossoms.
Lindsay and I have known each other for over 10 years. We met when I was a student at JMU and Lindsay came in as an intern with Intervaristy from CNU! We went on a missions trip together, and I remember when Lindsay bought her first camera. It’s fun to have friends in this industry, especially when our friendship began before either one of us were photographers. When we lived in Richmond before moving to Williamsburg, VA, The Fauvers invited us to be a part of a Supper Club – which ended up being one of my fondest memories from our 5 years there. Now her family has grown, and I’ve just loved to see how she has transformed into the best mom! I’m so thrilled to be able to share this session!

Ali!!! These are pure magic! Your work is so beautiful! Thank you SO much for capturing our family in this sweet season together. I can’t believe you caught the half second smile when David was sitting down! And the one of Emma Grace dancing in the flower petals is AMAZING! I can not choose a favorite. They are such a treasure. THANK YOU!!
Those are beautiful! I am so sad to have missed taking any portraits this time of year. 🙁
