On September 11, these two said their vows and had one of the most deeply meaningful weddings I’ve been a part of. I don’t really know how to express how honored I was to be a part of their day… being the photographer where one of my favorite photographers is in the wedding party was part of it, but also being in the presence of some of our country’s heroes [many in the family and in attendance have served our country] on a day that will forever go down in history. I want to try and quote Meg’s father because the sentiment couldn’t have been expressed with better words. He said something like this:
The fact that it is September 11 is not lost on us. Believe me. But the terrorists don’t own this day.
Today we’re reclaiming this day for the glory of God.
It must have been a perfect day at a perfect venue with His people who will one day be perfect!
As you draw closer to Him, the closer you become to each other…and you are starting out well. Be blessed.
What a gorgeous couple! I particularly love the bride’s hair.

I believe you gave Him joy that day!
