It’s been just two and a half weeks since we were in St. John and I MISS IT like crazy. Of course I miss the beaches and the daily roadside smoothies, but more than that I miss the lifestyle. You wake up, you go out and do something active. In the months leading up to St. John, my friend Anna and I were working out 4-5 times a week together for about 30-40 minutes, and I felt GREAT! I continued that activity during the day by paddle boarding, swimming/snorkling, or hiking! I felt GREAT the entire time. However, I’m back to my “normal” routine of working out maybe once a week and started getting pains in my back and an over all tired feeling.
While I was scrolling on instagram one day, I noticed a past bride had been posting her workouts with the hashtag #fitfor30. She was posting her achievements in her fitness goals, and I loved it! Like most of us who are turning the big THREE-WHOA this year, we’re getting nervous about our permanent stamp of adulthood and becoming “old.”
After some texts back and forth and some deep thinking about changing some things about my lifestyle, I’ve decided to adopt the hashtag as a fun and interactive way to hold myself accountable and encourage myself. I have 3 months before my birthday, and during that time I hope to develop a habit of an active and healthier lifestyle that will last well beyond 30!

Love it! I know I feel so much better, both physically & mentally, when I’m working out 3-5 times a week. Weightlifting is the best. It gives me so much confidence, & it’s a natural metabolism booster.
