Last night, Chad and I celebrated a Redskins win over the Cowboys by driving to Williamsburg, going to our new gym, and getting dinner. Actually, we drove to Williamsburg because Chad starts his new job today!!! The job that is taking us to Hampton Roads! I’m excited for this new chapter in our lives!

We’ve done an average job of dealing with all of the changes… Buying and selling a home, leaving our community of friends, studying for tests [him], starting a new job [him], and moving a business [me]. We’ve both had our freakout moments but have also been great about sitting down and talking things out. Five years of marriage and we’re still learning about each other. I’ve learned that Chad…

• carries the weight of everything he’s juggling, where as I am more prone to walk away and let it all drop as to avoid stress.
• makes slow and wise decisions, where as I make fast decisions weighing nothing but feelings. [totally ok with prom dresses, not ok with large investments like a house]
• prefers Clash of Clans to de-stress, while I prefer eating.

Anyway, just a short, lighthearted post to congratulate my guy on his new job and to let everyone know that we’re making it through this season of craziness!
