“Leave it.”
I’m thrilled to share this wedding with you on Thursday – it’s going to be an epic moment because it was my first real beach wedding! Hopefully, the first of many! Katie and Justin had a beautiful day – a sunny morning, nice cloud coverage so it wasn’t so SO hot, and a breeze. Breeze at the beach is to be expected, but with a veil, any type of gust can take that veil right up into the air. Her first steps outside, her viel blew right off. With some help, the planner shoved that veil back in and without missing a beat, Katie was arm in arm with her dad walking across the grass to the steps leading to her groom!
Until the wind took her veil and wrapped it round the railing. For a few seconds, Katie was stuck at the end of the aisle. I ran over to unhook her from the wood railing – but Katie was faster, and more determined. I can’t remember exactly what she said, but something along the lines of… “I’M GETTING MARRIED!” And she grabbed her veil, pulled it out, and continued her waltz to the front of the aisle!
I love her ability to just go with the flow – ALL DAY she was like this, but at the moment, I wanted to hug her for it. Congrats Katie – don’t let anything hold you back from togetherness with your husband!!
