“What if it rains?”

It really is hard to narrow down the sweet, story-telling, moments of a wedding day. When it comes to brides who are “planners,” EVERY second of their day is special. But sometimes it’s the unplanned, and even more specific, unCONTROLLABLE moments that tell a larger story. Like rain.

Corinne emailed me in desperation the day before her wedding. The reality was that it was supposed to rain ALL day with percentages increased in the afternoon, peaking at 5pm. Ceremony time. I felt the sadness in her tone and couldn’t do anything but send virtual hugs. But she really had her head on straight. The rain was obnoxious, but it didn’t overpower her joy. She still had a smile even when it was thunder and lightening a few minutes before 5pm. But this photo shows the concern of the day. I can’t wait to show how beautiful this wedding was on Thursday when I share the story of the day. But here is a moment. Just a snapshot.
