I can’t believe that my first wedding of the year is this Saturday! I’ve been checking the weather for the past two weeks – as of now, it’s going to be a beautiful day in Charlottesville! Since the middle of November, it’s been a welcomed, long break, but I’m ready to get going again. I have 20 amazing couples who deserve my best and I’m stoked to give it to them! I’ve learned so much during my time off and I really do feel prepared for this season. This week, I’ve been cleaning my office, organizing my equipment and trying to get mentally prepped for another wedding season.
As I prepare, I’ve been making a list of everything I bring to a wedding.I’ve accumulated some new things this year, so I know it will help to have a check list. Here’s what I have!
I carry 3 bags. Two with equipment, and the one with all of the paperwork and survival kit. My shootsac carries 3 lenses while my backpack carries everything else. My survival kit is constantly growing. I added an umbrella to that list last year after a rainy wedding. My paper items stay put most of the day. I tend to keep the timeline and family formal’s list with me until after the ceremony.
Thanks for the photo, Amanda! There I am carrying my backpack and shoot sac. Those hold pretty much everything I need to shoot a wedding.
