Chad met his “niece” this past week. I was sure he’d cry because we’re both so emotional when it comes to little babies… He didn’t, but it was still so cute to see my husband holding a newborn. She smiled at him and everyone in the room I melted…
Rachel [Ellie’s momma] and Chad have been friends since they were tiny. I’ve adopted a lot of his friends, so now, we’re all friends. Rachel had Ellie just a short 6 weeks ago! It really is crazy to see a miracle right in front of you, squirming and crying. Anyway, as an only child, I won’t have nieces to spoil until Chad’s brother gets married and has kids. [No rush, Timmy!]. So, it’s fun to become an “Auntie” in some sense. Little Ellie has a lot of really wonderful family surrounding her to love her so hard. Chad and I are excited and honored to be a little part of Ellie’s life!
Babies blow my mind. I can’t wait to meet my nephew, he’s almost 3 months old already and he’s becoming his own little person! Having a little cutie to love on is so fun! It’s crazy how onesies and baby books become interesting once you have someone to spoil them with 😉
