I first met Karen and Matt over coffee on one of the first “hot” days this year. We sat outside, sweating, drinking our iced coffee at Shenandoah Joe’s in Charlottesville and  talked for an hour or so over about their wedding plans. Karen told me there were 9 attendants on each side.  And when a bride tells you she had a bridal party of 20, a few things cross your mind as a photographer. The main thing is JOYFUL CHAOS. Come wedding day, I made my way into the getting ready room and expected to see a frenzy of hair spray and 100 overflowing overnight bags. And although there was hairspray and bags, I was amazed at how ORGANIZED things were. This was the largest, but the most caring bridal party ever. The were so attentive to Karen and how she was feeling the entire time. And I think that just set the tone for the rest of the day. We had a blast and the day could not have been more perfect. Karen and Matt, thank you so much for picking me to photograph your wedding day!
