Virginia Beach portrait and lifestyle photographer specializing in comfortable portraits and candids
Annamarie’s work has climbed the charts in my “favorites” book. I love her as a friend, woman of God, and a photographer. This weekend I got to second shoot with her at a wedding in Washington DC. Be sure to visit her website to see some photos of Teddy + Emma’s beautiful event. I love second shooting, as I’ve talked about before on this blog. It’s one thing to second shoot for just another photographer, but another altogether to second for a friend. Each experience second shooting is another day of learning. You learn to listen, to be creative, and pick up a few tips along the way. Here are a few things I’ve learned from Annamarie:
1. Go 100% on each shot. There were some moments during the day where it would have been perfectly acceptable to give in to the weather or situational obsticals. But Annamarie was there to take beautiful photographs and she pushed threw. The clients are going to be thrilled and so thankful she is so willing to go above and beyond what is expected!
2. Buns are a really good idea when it’s 90 degrees outside. How cute is her ballet bun?!
3. Shooting with friends is THE BEST. Seriously, when you share a passion, its the greatest to be on the same team, working for the same goal. To have happy clients, beautiful photos, and smiles at the end of the day is all we can really ask for! Thanks for taking me along, Anna!
