I’m waiting for the “drywall guy” to come and patch up a hole we put in the wall. Not an “oops” type hole, but a big square hole where the ironing board used to be. We took it out, even though it was very Leave it to Beaver and charming, because I just don’t need an ironing board in the kitchen. While waiting, I’m scrolling through some emails and one new one said, “Let’s make it official…”
A few weeks ago, my best friend from high school asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding. I guess technically I’m a bridesmatron, but I can only think MATRONLY thoughts when I hear that, so let’s just stick with maid. Whatever. But lets talk about this. What an honor!!! I was SO excited when Jen asked me. She didn’t officially have a date yet, but now that is also set in stone and GUESS WHAT. I actually don’t have a wedding that day!!!!
You’ll have to excuse the casualty of this post – I’m just so excited. Jen has been a good if not best friend for so long. And I’ll be honest – it feels good to be IN a wedding, instead of AT or WORKING a wedding. I’m thrilled to celebrate her and their marriage!

That is so exciting!!! I really want to be a bridesmaid at some point in my life! Is that a weird life goal?? Also, were you BLONDE in 2004???
