I’ve started a small personal project. It’s a little intimidating to admit, but I’m excited to share the beginnings of it. I’ve been blessed this year by my community group at my church. For those who don’t know, I’m big on community. I believe that God intended us to have friends. Good friends. Friends we can be open with. Of course people are bound to hurt you, but I’ve been more hurt by loneliness in my life than I have by any person. Anyway, to make a long story short, I want to share some of the normal everyday church women you’d meet if you stepped inside a church building. I want to show that they are real, vulnerable, and loving. These women are not perfect. Not even close. In fact, we often sit around talking about our struggles and ways we’ve hurt people and how we want to grow. So, like I said. I want to introduce you to the women of Redemption Hill.
Name. Cait. Occupation. I’m an Interventionist at an elementary school – I work with small groups of students that need extra support in areas of weakness. The Lord has impressed upon me His heart for these kids. I’m passionate about seeing them understand God’s deep, unfailing love for them and as a result, live their lives trusting Him. Favorite Characteristic of God. His Grace – the undeserved favor that He has shown me. His love for me has nothing to do with anything I did or didn’t do. I can find freedom and rest in this. Redemption Hill. Being a part of the RH community has challenged me in a good way. It has shown me areas of my own heart that I want to see God change and it has helped me to as more questions and dig into my faith on a deeper level. Five Things. My name is Caitlin, and my sister’s name is Katelyn. I’m a Raven’s fan. Before I got married, my initials were COW. I love my husband, and I love marriage. I went to JMU and it.was.amazing.
