At some point during the evening, I think Jack Johnson was playing and the light was perfect and the smell of BBQ was in the air swirling around with the sounds of laughter and celebration… I just had to smile and say to myself, “This is how it should be.”
JoAnna and Kevin contacted me from my feature on Style Me Pretty. I was so excited to get their email, especially when hearing that they would be renting out a CAMP for their wedding weekend. Later, however, JoAnna called to let me know they’d had a change of heart. They wanted a small venue: their home. With people they loved: close friends and family. Engaged for about two years, JoAnna and Kevin collected little pieces for their wedding. Each plate and glass was collected individually. Everything was personalized. A backyard BBQ was exactly what they wanted. And THAT’s how it should be.
JoAnna and Kevin, your wedding was a dream. Your family is amazing, and your friends are so fun and lovable. Everything about your wedding made me full of joy. Enjoy your honeymoon–love you guys!
After this wedding, I officially want a pair of Jack Rogers. How cute are these monogramed shoes?!?
Their house was the perfect mix between Pottery Barn, and Shabby Chic.
Rachael second shot for me. How cute is this shot of JoAnna she captured on the left? All smiles…

This was such a wonderful day. Sometimes we think that bigger is better however this wedding proved different. It started out to be a rather big affair however JoAnna and Kevin scaled down and we could not have been more happier. Everything from the weather to the food was wonderful. Ali the photographer just doesn’t take photos she is a real artist as you can see from her photos. She is kind, understanding and she ran everything never missing a shot. We never had to think of anything she kept us on schedule and everyone had a beautiful time as you can see from the photos. I can not imagine not having her there. This is a time that we will remember forever thanks to your lovely work. Big or small Ali you would make every girls dream wedding a wedding to remember. Thank you so much Ali,
Sincerely,
Mother of the Bride
